Blog Design
Well it took some time, but the blog design finally got some new modern upgrades. This isn’t the custom designed from scratch concept that I promised ever so long ago… back when I re designed and coded the Sparx Media main website, but it is something. It’s a lot better than the previous theme that we we running under, as it mimicked the old design and layout. Along with the new design comes more post, and an image rotator on the main page.

New Sparx Media Blog
Social Media
The blog has just been submitted to Technorati and The Blog Catalog so soon we should get accepted on both of those sites. They will definetly help establish the sparx media brand. Feedburner is now hosting the Sparx Media Blog RSS Feed. So you can subscribe to news updates etc. I’m debating on expanding outwork and also creating a twitter page, but I don’t know.
Facebook Page
Yes After a year of having a web presence I’ve finally decided to create a Facebook Fan Page. Anyone that wants to become a fan of Sparx Media is welcomed to join the Fan Page.

Sparx Media Facebook FanPage
I’ve been working on creating Wordpress themes for a while now, and I’ve gotten quite good at it actually. That being the case I’ve launched a sister site to showcase all the themes we’ve got available. I’m bad at updating the SparxMedia blog, but I’ll do a better job with NicheWP. There are quite a few themes on there, and I’ll be adding some of the older ones to the site shortly. That will also make this blog more of a blog about SparxMedia as a whole, and not a blog cluttered with Wordpress themes.

Nichewp.net Home Page
The project as a whole is still a beta, but I feel as though it’s got the potential to be big. Especially with the sponsors I’ve got lined up. The concept of the site is rather simple, there are tons of people out there that want to blog, and they need designs. Most people prefer to have “free lunches” so they often get free wordpress themes as opposed to hiring someone to design them something from scratch. Yes there are tons of wordpress themes available, so what makes Niche WP so unique? Well the reasoning is behind the word “niche” with everything being designed to cater to a spcecific website category, it will match the site better.
Back in January 2007 I created my first ever website http://www.colormagix.org. It started out as just a small little site dedicated to providing color palettes for spriters and game developers. I had spent a great deal of time working on it. Back then though I didn’t really know what I was doing and even created the entire thing in flash at some point… (Bad idea for search engines). Well though it’s grown and evloved over time it’s become a very popular website for people that want to learn how to draw anime and sprite.
As a tribute to the work I did when I was 16, I completely redesigned the website again. And this one looks fantastic.

Sparx Media Website Design Prior To The Current One
As you’ve probably noticed, the Sparx Media main website has been completely redesign and coded. The only thing we have left now to do is add some of the missing content, and then begin the conversion process to change the blog as well. It might take a few days at the most. But the Sparx Media crew is hard and work, and constantly improving. And by Crew I mean me
This is what the sparxmedia website used to look like prior to me taking the time to do another redesign. The original Sparx Media design was lost on an older hard drive a while ago. I fine tuned some of the elements from the previous design and included them in the new one. The font for the logo text is similar as well as the color choices. Overall I feel as though the new design was big success and I plan on keeping this one, for a while at least .
The next major thing for Sparx Media will be to work the Blog. Since it’s powered by wordpress I’m more than likely going to have to create a wordpress theme that is based off the architecture of the xhtml and css template.
